BBC Worldwide has signed its first licensee for enviro-friendly preschool series dirtgirlworld.
UK-based CP International Clothing is set to produce a range of high-end children’s daywear based on dirtgirlworld.
Reflective of the brand’s environmental mandate, CP International will produce a range of 100% organic apparel for boys and girls, including t-shirts, dresses and jeans. Initial lines will launch through independent UK retailers for spring/summer 2011, with plans to explore further opportunities later in the year.
Developed by mememe productions, dirtgirlworld is a musical show geared towards kids ages three to seven that combines animation and live action, along with photomontage and illustration. Since its launch on CBeebies in November 2009, the show has reached viewing figures within the channel’s top 10 shows.
