MTV Networks Africa has struck a new content deal with Nigerian free-to-air TV channel STV to bring Nickelodeon programming to viewers throughout the country.
Starting July 16, STV viewers in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Benin, Awka and Jos will be able to access Nickelodeon programming for an hour every week day in an after-school block and on Saturdays in the early morning slot.
STV’s Nickelodeon blocks will be filled with animated programming aimed at the two to 15 set, and will include shows like Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go! and SpongeBob Squarepants.
