Iconicles sold across North and Latin America

Australia’s Beyond Distribution has inked broadcast deals across the Americas in Canada, the US Hispanic market and Latin America for its 26 x half-hour animated preschool series Iconicles.

Discovery Kids Latin America has picked up the series for launch in April, TV Ontario has secured Canadian broadcast rights with plans to air Iconicles in 2012, and Beyond has also partnered with EXIM Licensing to launch merchandise for the property across Latin America and Brazil. In addition, Discovery Familia is also on board for the US Hispanic market, one of the fastest growing segments in the US.

The series, which combines 2-D animation with live action and follows Nat, a young explorer and inventor who discovers the untouched world of Iconicles, was originally commissioned by CBeebies UK, and is produced by UK-based Create Media Ventures with US-based phuuz entertainment in association with Dinamo Productions.

The new sales take Beyond (Number Jacks, Tati’s Hotel) further into the kids market.
