Disney Publishing Worldwide has transitioned the world of Toy Story to the Apple iPad.

The new app features a fully interactive reading experience, 3-D effects (glasses will be available free at Disney Stores in Canada and the US), sing-along tunes, multi-touch puzzles and coloring pages. Children will be able to hear the story read aloud and record their own narration all at their own pace.

The Disney-Pixar film Toy Story 3 premiers in North American theaters on today, and the app is currently available for US$8.99 and includes a one-month free subscription to disneydigitalbooks.com. The title can be directly downloaded from Apple’s App Store in the US and Canada.
