E1 Television International, a division of independent studio E1 Entertainment, has bolstered its international television sales division with the appointment of three new execs – Helen Curtis as head of sales, Cristina Sala as sales manager and Tom Misselbrook as sales executive. All three will be based in the company’s London office and will report directly to Toronto-based Prentiss Fraser, VP and head of sales for E1 Television International.

Curtis will manage Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and inflight entertainment and assist Fraser with the UK for E1 Television International. Prior to E1, she was employed as the sales director for MTV Networks International.

Sala will be responsible for Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany. Sala joins E1 from Endemol International where she supervised the sales for the worldwide distribution program in Latin America as well as program sales to Benelux, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, India, Finland, Iceland and Africa.

Misselbrook will direct sales for Greece, Africa, Middle East, Israel and Turkey. Previously, Misselbrook worked in both the UK and Canada with Distraction Formats managing a number of international broadcasters.

Also joining E1’s London operations is Charlotte Thorp, the new head of television sales and business development for the film unit, who will report to Alex Hamilton, director of film. Thorp will handle theatrical film sales to UK television and digital markets and will work closely with the new international television sales unit to maximize synergies and capitalize on relationships to drive both film and TV sales.
