Nickelodeon boosts animation and live-action teams

Nickelodeon has upped executives Jenna Boyd to SVP of animation development and Brian Wright to SVP of live action development.

Boyd will report to Nickelodeon Group’s president of animation Brown Johnson, while Wright will report to Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s president of original programming and development.

In her new role, Boyd, who was most recently VP of live action development working on programming for Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nick at Nite, will be tasked with overseeing all new animated series and the recently announced comedy shorts program which closes for submissions this Friday.

Boyd began her career at Nick 15 years ago as a production intern for the net’s  Kenan & Kel series.

In his new role, Wright, who joined Nickelodeon’s live-action development team in 2007 and moved up to his most recent position as VP of live action development, will be responsible for overseeing all live-action development and pilot production for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, TeenNick and international co-productions.

During his time working for the live-action development team, Wright has played a role bringing a number of series from pilot to air including Big Time Rush, BrainSurge, Victorious, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, Supah Ninjas and How To Rock.
