Hasbro has tapped former Disney exec Simon Waters as its new SVP of global licensing.
Waters has been assigned with the reinvention of key Hasbro brands and the alignment of international licensing efforts. Waters will be based at Hasbro’s L.A. offices and will report directly to global chief marketing officer John Frascotti.
Waters joins Hasbro after holding a variety of positions with increasing importance at Disney Consumer Products, most recently serving as VP of global franchise development and strategic marketing. At DCP, Waters drove marketing strategies for brands such as Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse. He’s also held executive positions at Universal Music Group and Bertelsmann Music Group earlier in his career.
