PopPixie, the new property from Loreto, Italy’s Rainbow, is heading back to school with a series of deals in Russia, France and several French-speaking Territories.
In Russia, AST has licensed the Pixie’s back-to-school merch rights from 2010 to 2012, a deal that also includes Rainbow’s older brands Winx Club and Maya Fox. According to Rainbow, PopPixie sells 100,000 magazine per month in Russia, where the PopPixie TV series has yet to be broadcast.
French company Tennesse has secured a two-year deal for the BTS rights in France, Dom Tom, Monaco, French speaking Belgium, French-speaking Switzerland and Andorra. The deal covers a range of products, including back packs and trolley back packs.
In France, PopPixie has been sold to key broadcasters France Télévisions and Teletoon, where licensing France Télévisions Distribution will handle the licensing program.
