UK-based indie production house Kindle Entertainment has secured a deal with Sweden’s Alicom Licensing that will see the licensing company rep the CBeebies preschool puppetry series Big and Small in Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.
The latest deal further expands the licensing and merchandising program for the brand which has HarperCollins, Bandai, Namco, Paper Projects, C & M Licensing and Little Star Creations already on board as licensees.
Big and Small’s online and interactive presence has also grown with the Big and Small iPhone app accumulating more than 23,000 downloads to date. A website has also been launched as well as a stage show called Happy Together which toured in Canada last year with new dates yet to be announced.
The series, which was picked up by CBeebies for a third season in October 2011, is co-produced by Kindle and Ireland-based Sixteen South.
In the Scandinavian territories, Sweden has acquired season three with Norway, Denmark and Finland expected to pick it up later this year.
