Twenty-four hour US preschool channel Sprout has upped Adrienne Byrd (pictured) to SVP of legal, standards and practices and Meredith Halpern-Ranzer to VP of creative effective immediately.
Byrd will leave her most recent position as VP of legal, standard and practices and will continue to report to Sprout’s president Sandy Wax, while Halpern-Ranzer, who was most recently senior creative director, will continue to report to Sprout’s programming SVP Andrew Beecham.
In her new role, Byrd will continue to lead the business and legal affairs department and is tasked with structuring all of Sprout’s deals, negotiating agreements, corporate governance, and standards and practices. In addition, she will enforce the network’s compliance with all FCC and FTC regulatory issues.
Meanwhile, Halpern-Ranzer in her new role will execute strategic and creative direction for Sprout’s brands and promotions as well as developing production of original interstitials and programming blocks, including The Sunny Side Up Show and The Good Night Show.
Byrd previously worked as a member of Comcast Corporation’s legal in-house team while Halpern-Ranzer served an eight-year stint at Sesame Workshop as a producer and editor.
