Beyblade: Metal Fusion, the next iteration of the Beyblade franchise, will premiere in the US on Cartoon Network starting June 26.

A full 51 new episodes produced by Nelvana and d-rights introduce new characters competing for dominance with their spinning Beyblade tops.

Beyblade has once again become a popular toy line in Japan, selling more than 17 million tops and accessories since the 2008 re-launch by Tomy Company, accelerated by the start of the broadcast of the new episodes last April. The new Beyblade toy line features a metal gear system and an online virtual battle component.

Hasbro brought the original product line to market in the US and other regions, and has been appointed the master toy licensee for the new line in most international markets outside of Asia. The new toys are set to hit shelves this spring in Canada and this fall in the US Nelvana Enterprises will be distributing the TV series internationally, as well as representing d-rights in various countries, as licensing agent.
