iTunes France goes to the movies

Apple is now making films available for rent or purchase on the iTunes Store in France, where blockbusters like Avatar, Up and The Twilight Saga can be viewed on an iPod, iPhone, Mac or PC or on a widescreen with Apple TV.

Apple is now making films available for rent or purchase on the iTunes Store in France, where blockbusters like Avatar, Up and The Twilight Saga can be viewed on an iPod, iPhone, Mac or PC or on a widescreen with Apple TV.

The catalogue will include films from major studios including 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros., as well as European studios like Pathé, SND and StudioCanal

The films will be available for purchase on iTunes the same day as their DVD release.

Apple’s agreement with Disney builds on their existing iTunes VOD and EST deals in countries such as the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
