BRB’s Bernard scores TV deals, gets ready to leap to the big screen

BRB’s three-season (156 x three-minute) CGI series Bernard has just been acquired by several Central and Eastern European broadcasters.

HBO (Eastern Europe), Teletoon (France), MTV and Mega Sport (Ukraine), Estonian TV, DR (Denmark), Tring Digital (Albania) and Canal Panda (Portugal) have picked up the dialogue-free comic series, while 2X2 (Russia) has renewed its rights.

A made-for-TV movie based on the property,My Friend Bernard, has just closed a deal with Cartoon Network for the Latin American market. The series has also inspired a feature-length film, Superbernard, which will premiere in 2012. Screen 21 has started production on the film in Barcelona, Spain.

BRB will be showcasing the series at MIPTV.
