After years of mulling the idea, it looks like the French consumer products community has made it official, forming the French Licensing Federation.

The new trade body is open to IP-owners, licensors and licensing agents working in France, and is being helmed by Marathon Media’s Patricia De Wilde, will act as president, and Marie-Laure Marchand from Big Bocca TV and Licensing, who was elected as general secretary.

In related news, global org LIMA has announced a partnership with Licensing Italia, an Italian licensing consulting firm.

Through the partnership, LIMA will sponsor Licensing Italia’s activities to educate the Italian business community about licensing, including support of various trade events in Italy.

Licensing Italia will act as LIMA’s agent in Italy to increase Italian membership in the association and improve access to licensing education and programming for the Italian business community.
