Five’s Milkshake! block has made over its website to promote easier navigation for its preschool fans.

Going live next week, the new site designed for kids ages two to five features less text and more imagery, and uses a simple point-and-click process with icons, character pictures and presenter branded bubbles. It was formulated with an eye to enabling children to explore with confidence and develop their mouse skills.

Stacked with video content, the colorful new look also includes new activities, downloads, games, print outs, and presenter sections and houses the rebranded Milkshake! area of Demand Five, the broadcasters video streaming service where kids can watch content on demand. The Milkshake site currently sees more than two million page impressions per month.

The site was produced by Five’s internal Digital Media Group and the Milkshake programming team, with content provided by key production partners. UK-based Bionic Communications created the design and Flash aspects of the site, while it was developed and built by Unboxed Consulting.
