Milan-based Atlantyca Entertainment has secured a one-year licensing agreement with Italian bottled water supplier Acqua Minerale San Benedetto.
The deal gives San Benedetto rights (for Italy) to feature characters from the new Geronimo Stilton animated series as part of the launch of a line of flavored ice tea and chamomile beverages for kids, debuting at retail in March 2010. The characters will be used on packaging, in-store displays, promotional items and the San Benedetto Kids website, www.sanbenedettokids.it.
Co-produced by Atlantyca Entertainment and Moonscoop, Geronimo Stilton premiered on Italy’s RAI this past fall. The series has also been sold to Nickelodeon Northern Europe International (Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland) among other broadcasters.
