Corus Entertainment has upped Maria Hale to VP of television, and head of digital and content distribution.
Hale was most recently VP of television, head of programming and production, a job now filled by John MacDonald, who returns to Canada after serving as COO and EVP programming for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.
Hale and MacDonald will report to Doug Murphy, EVP and president of television at Corus Entertainment.
The move combines the broadcaster’s digital and interactive activities with its TV division.
