Sci-fi soccer fantasy Sokator-422 from the UK’s Galleon Entertainment has been picked up by distributor Bejuba! Entertainment.

Bejuba! has signed on to handle TV, online and DVD distribution rights for the multi-platform franchise, which currently includes a 75-minute animated movie, online interactive game and TV game show. Galleon’s co-pro partner PolyBona will distribute the movie as a feature in China and South East Asia

Sokator-442 targets the six to 12 crowd and the property first launched as an online multi-player intergalactic football management game in 2009. The animated movie will be available by mid-May for airing to coincide with the World Cup, and Bejuba! will introduce it to buyers at KidScreen Summit next month.

The feature is being produced by London-based Zoo Films with animation by China-based Sandman Animation Studios. For more info, check out www.sokator442.com.
