Italian producer, distributor and licensor Rainbow has secured a number of new licensing agents across Europe, the Far East and the Middle East for its Winx Club IP.
Jumping on board in advance of the upcoming fall launch of Winx Club season five are CPLG (Germany and Benelux), RBW (Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), Tuesday (Bates Group) for Indonesia, License2Brand (Greece), and FWD Licensing (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Oman, Saudi-Arabia, Tunisia and Morocco).
The latest deals come on the heels of Rainbow appointing a number of new toy distributors, including Bizak (Spain) and Universal Trends (Germany), for Winx Club in June.
Existing licensees also include France Television (France), Filma (Turkey), Zero A Oito (Portugal) and CLM (South Africa).
Winx Club dolls are produced for the global market by Witty Toys, part of the Rainbow Group, except in North America, Australia and New Zealand and the UK where Jakks Pacific is the master toy licensee for producing and distributing the dolls.
The IP currently has 365 licenses and billions worth of merchandising at retail worldwide across all categories including digital, publishing, home entertainment and live events.
