Teaming up with the Hong Kong Bureau of Education, BabyTV has launched a guidebook for parents to make better media choices for kids.
Growing Together: Making the most of TV for toddlers will be distributed to parents at all kindergartens across Hong Kong, encouraging them to maximize the benefits of children’s TV and media use through involvement and improved mediation.
The initiative came out of a BabyTV survey in Hong Kong, which explored media habits and concerns of local parents and found that even though 90% of parents use screen media with their kids, most are generally unaware of age-appropriate program.
