New episodes of web-to-TV sensation Annoying Orange have been ordered by Cartoon Network, which also reordered animated comedy series Regular Show for a fifth season and The Amazing World of Gumball for a third season.

The Collective-produced Annoying Orange, co-created by Dane Boedigheimer and Tom Sheppard, bowed on Cartoon Network US in June this year and currently ranks as the top-rated program for boys on Mondays. The brand’s L&M program continues to expand around the world and the web series boasts more than one billion views on YouTube.

Since premiering in September 2010, Regular Show has also been a ratings success for the net and moved into the licensed toy market thanks to a deal made in April with Jazwares. The series was created by J. G. Quintel and features the adventures of Mordecai, a six-foot-tall blue jay and his friend Rigby, a hyperactive raccoon.

Cartoon Network Studio Europe’s The Amazing World of Gumball bowed in 2011 and to date is the number-one program with kids and boys ages two to 11 and six to 11 on Tuesday nights on Cartoon Network US. Ben Bocquelet is the show’s creator.
