Industry org LIMA is opening a Hong Kong office, bringing the total number of LIMA offices worldwide to six, including the New York headquarters, London, Tokyo, Munich, and Shanghai.

Longtime licensing executive Tani Wong has been appointed managing director of the new outfit and she joins LIMA from Warner Bros., where she was sales director for greater China, Southeast Asia and India. Wong has more than 12 years experience managing licensing businesses, including merchandise, publishing, promotions and events. Prior to joining Warner Bros. in 2002, Wong worked in marketing and category sales for Disney Consumer Products.

The new Hong Kong office will serve as a resource to the association’s worldwide membership for information on the growing Southeast Asia licensing market and educate the Southeast Asian business community on the ins and outs of licensing to broaden the network of potential business partners and opportunities for LIMA members worldwide.
