Mountain View, California’s Norton from Symantec has culled through 14.6 million searches submitted by users of family safety service OnlineFamily.Norton this year to determine the top internet searches conducted by kids.
Rounding out the top-three search terms in a trio of groups – ages seven and under, tweens eight to 12, and teens 13 to18 – is YouTube, with Google and Facebook not far behind.
Celebrity-wise, Michael Jackson was the most popular celebrity search for kids, coming in at number 12 overall, while Taylor Swift was next in line at number 13. It turns out that 34% of teens and 27% of tweens searched for music-related terms, while 23% of kids under seven spent most of their search time online on games.
