Ratings Watch: Disney Channel, Cartoon Network

Disney Channel has gotten the gift of top ratings for this holiday season, as the premiere of Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation on Friday, December 11 was the series' most-watched telecast on record in total viewers, kids six to 11 and boys six to 11.

Disney Channel has gotten the gift of top ratings for this holiday season, as the premiere of Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation on Friday, December 11 was the series’ most-watched telecast on record in total viewers, kids six to 11 and boys six to 11.

The special also ranked as Friday’s top TV telecast across all kid, boy and girl demos, and was cable’s number-one telecast of the day in total viewers. The special premiered on Disney XD on Sunday, December 6, ranking as the net’s number-one telecast of all time across all key demos, including total viewers, kids six to 11 and tweens nine to 14.

Meanwhile, Ben 10: Alien Force continues to dominate at Cartoon Network. Last Friday’s showing (8:30 p.m.) saw double-digit delivery and ratings gains among kids and boys two to 11, compared to the same time period last year. Kids two to 11 delivery (890,000) was up by 18% and ratings (2.2) by 16%, while boys two to 11 delivery (731,000) improved by 20% and ratings (3.5) by 21%.

Its Saturday morning’s fantasy-adventure block Crushzone (7:30 to 9:30 a.m.) saw gains with kids and boys nine to 14, also versus the same time period last year. The nine to 14 set saw an average delivery (306,000) up by 7% and ratings (1.3) by 8%, while boys nine to 14 average delivery (278,000) grew by 19% and ratings (2.2) by 16%.
