Disney has snapped up the broadcast license for all 52 x 11-minute episodes of The Jim Henson Company’s preschool live-action/puppet series Pajanimals for its Disney Junior platforms in EMEA and Latin American territories.

The series is expected to air this month in France, Italy, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa. Morning and afternoon slots are slated, with some markets planning nightly evening programming blocks.

Airing exclusively in the US on 24-hour preschool channel Sprout, Pajanimals also found a home in  on the new NBC Kids weekend morning block in July. Sprout premiered season two in August, and the show was recently picked up by ABC Australia and TVNZ New Zealand for its TV2 network.

The new Disney deal comes on the heels of The Jim Henson Company announcing the first Pajanimals live musical production will land in US theaters in 2013.
