Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has inked a raft of new international licensees across its portfolio of IPs.

Santex Moden is NVCP’s first local apparel licensee in Germany, and it has signed a two-year deal that will bring iCarly-branded t-shirts and nightwear in February 2010 to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Consumers will be able to purchase products from mail order catalogues, department stores and mass market retail.

Another two-year deal with Portugal’s game maker Mario J Oliveira & Irmao will see SpongeBob SquarePants branded puzzles, board games, educational games, soap bubbles and projectors. Major local retail outlets will carry the products, including Elcorte Ingles, Sonae, Jeronimo Martins, Auchan Intermarche and Toys ‘R’ Us.

And in Turkey, SpongeBob and Dora will get branded books and magazines from Dogan Egmont at all book shops, kiosks, music and toy shops throughout the market. They’ll also appear on children’s apparel, nightwear and underwear thanks to a two-year deal with Panco Giyim San Ticaret. SpongeBob will also be gracing collectable cards that will be packaged with Bel Karper Gida San’s The Laughing Cow soft cheese, which will be available in stores across Turkey from this fall.

State-side, NVCP has teamed up with Kideo to create its first personalized DVD featuring characters from Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!

Kids will star alongside Dora, Diego and their friends as they embark on a rescue mission. Gift-givers will send along a photo of the child, which Kideo digitally inserts into the story with the child’s name, also featured on the DVD and packaging. The 25-minute long Dora, Diego and Me is available exclusively at www.kideo.com retailing at US$29.95.
