Scholastic has acquired The Odious Ogre, a new picture book written by Norton Juster and illustrated by Jules Feiffer, the collaborators on classic kidlit novel The Phantom Tollbooth.
It’s the first time the two have worked together since Phantom‘s publication in 1961. Ogre will be published by Scholastic imprint Michael di Capua Books in fall 2010, following the story of a rotten, havoc-wreaking Ogre who eventually comes across a friendly girl who teaches him a lesson.
