Former National Geographic Kids Entertainment prez Donna Friedman Meir has moved into the online space, coming on board the exec team of web operating environment Kido’z.

As the company’s chief of content and strategy, Meir will be helping build up the global content platform’s presence across the web, shaping the content and overall creative strategy. Version 2.0 of Kido’z is launching this month and will include social tools, from a kid-friendly email system, social network and premium packages for kids to access special web content.

The kid-safe Kido’z is a free download for parents to control their kids’ web activities, targeting the two to eight set. It’s available in 17 languages. It’s developed by Tel Aviv-based Kido’z and managed by parents and industry professionals. For more info, click on http://www.kidoz.net.
