Digital shop Me Books inks deal with HarperCollins UK

After partnering earlier this year with Scholastic UK, six-month-old digital book shop Me Books is adding a range of HarperCollins UK picture book titles to its library.

After partnering earlier this year with Scholastic UK, six-month-old digital book shop Me Books is adding a range of HarperCollins UK picture book titles to its library.

London-based Me Books, which taps famous storytellers to narrate digital children’s books, will launch the HarperCollins titles in the US and Canada when the app makes its North American debut next month. Nine titles will be released throughout the year, including Love Monster, Walter and the No-Need-to-Worry Suit and Duck in the Truck.

HarperCollins joins a growing list of Me Books publishing partnersthat include Penguin, Puffin, Ladybird, Bloomsbury, Andersen, Hachette Children’s Books, Tate Publishing, Egmont and Templar.

The Me Books library includes such brands as Peter Rabbit, Topsy & Tim, Peppa Pig and Charlie and Lola, along with more than 130 digital children’s books. Me Books is currently available on the iPad and iPhone, with an Android launch scheduled for July.
