Toronto’s Shaftesbury Films has begun production on TV-movie Vacation with Derek, based on its tween series Life with Derek.
Under commission from Astral Media’s Family Channel, the movie directed by Michael McGowan will air in 2010 and will be distributed by Shaftesbury Sales Company. It follows the McDonald-Venturi family as the kids are forced to spend part of their summer vacation with their grandmother at her lodge.
