Pushing ahead with its strategy of going after specialty market opps, Toys ‘R’ Us has acquired the KB Toys brand.
The deal includes the website at KBToys.com, its trademarks and other IP rights. KB, founded in 1922, filed for bankruptcy and shut its doors this past February. In the meantime, TRU will be taking at look at how to develop its new acquisition, and site visitors to KBToys.com will be redirected to Toys.com.
Also under TRU ownership is FAO Schwarz and eToys.com.
