Philippines-based prodco Top Draw Animation and Australia’s Sticky Pictures have teamed up to launch a new children’s and family distribution company slated to make its debut at MIP Jr. next month.

Focusing on Asia, Australia and New Zealand territories, Mango Distribution will operate from offices in Manila, New York and Sydney.

Top Draw’s Wayne Dearing and Sticky’s Donna Andrews will head up the company, also acting as sales agent down under. In Asia, Kerry Novick is bringing 14 years of experience in the market to the new role of sales manager.

Already, Mango has taken on publishing-based animated comedy Pearlie (26 x 24 minutes), targeting the six to 10 set. The urban fairy tale is a co-pro between Sticky and Nelvana and has presales to Network Ten and Nickelodeon Australia as well as YTV (Canada).

The new company is also repping preschool series WordWorld (26 x 24 minutes) series, and Invisible Network of Kids (26 x 24 minutes), an action-comedy series for six to 10s, about a secret kid network charged with protecting their school. It’s a co-production between Samka Productions (France) and France 3.
