With the release of Kidz Bop 16, the New York-based music company has unveiled a new performance ensemble, the Kidz Bop Kids and its first original artist.

After several months of searching, five young singer/dancer/performers were selected to be part of the ensemble to be featured on album releases, music videos and website content. Twelve-year-old Sinai Rose has also been tapped as the label’s original artist, and she’ll be showcased on several upcoming KB releases, leading up to her full-length album debut in 2010. She’s also been seen on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

Meanwhile, KidzBop.com saw its biggest month in July, with three million video streams per month this summer and more than 100,000 user-generated videos uploaded.

KB has joined forces with Yahoo! to promote its slate of new music videos, the first of which are set to premiere this month and in September. The company has plans for more promos in 2010 that will be announced in the near future.
