Calling all Aussie prodcos! ABC Children’s Television is looking for a new game/quiz show for its forthcoming FTA kids channel ABC3 and is inviting producers to submit concepts.
The initiative will be held at the SPAA Conference taking place between November 17 and 19 in Sydney, where the winner could walk away with up to AU$30,000 in development funding. Producers can submit a brief concept document for the game/quiz show as a long-running, low-cost series targeting kids eight to 12.
ABC Australia will select four finalists who’ll move on to a private pitch during SPAA and the winner will be awarded a guaranteed prize of AU$5,000. Further development funding and a pilot deal of up to AU$25,000 may also be offered.
It must be an original Australian concept featuring Aussie kids and have a clear winner (group or individual), not judged by opinion. ABC is especially looking for a project that can be produced in high-volume at a low cost and suitable for online play. Submission details and the application form is available at www.spaa.org.au/conference;
Submissions close October 5, and the finalists will be contacted by October 12.
Send your pitch along with the completed application form to: Get Your Game On, ABC Children’s Television Department, GPO Box 9994, Sydney NSW 2001
