There’s a new pop band on the preschool music scene, as Nickelodeon gears up for the debut of live-action music comedy series The Fresh Beat Band.

Premiering on Monday, August 24 with two back-to-back eps, the 20 x half-hour series revolves around four BFFs in a band who attend music school together and focuses on self-expression through music and music appreciation.

The debut is being followed up by two weeks of new eps. Nickelodeon will show an encore of the premiere on Friday, August 28, and Friday, September 4, while Noggin (soon to be Nick Jr.) will air two back-to-back eps on Sunday, August 30, and Sunday, September. 6.

Meanwhile, the kidnet is supporting the show’s premiere week online and via wireless at www.nickjr.com with dedicated playlists, starting Monday, August 10, including themed clips, music videos and a sneak peek on Nick Jr. Video. The site will also feature activities and throughout August, will house music-themed printables, crafts, activities and more.
