Lionsgate cuts DVD deal with Henson

The Jim Henson Company has entered into a multi-year home entertainment distribution agreement with Lionsgate, North America's second-largest distributor in children's non-theatrical home entertainment with a 17.6% market share.

The Jim Henson Company has entered into a multi-year home entertainment distribution agreement with Lionsgate, North America’s second-largest distributor in children’s non-theatrical home entertainment with a 17.6% market share.

As part of the deal, Lionsgate now holds the North American distribution rights to more than 350 hours of content in The Jim Henson Company’s film and television library including series, specials and catalogue home entertainment titles for DVD, EST and VOD channels.

The first new titles scheduled to be released are Fraggle Rock: The Complete Final Season and Fraggle Rock: A Merry Fraggle Holiday in November 2009.
