After spending three years on development, Toronto’s Spin Master is making its foray into the fashion doll category with Liv, a line of teen dolls rolling out right now at US and Canadian retailers.

Liv was designed for girls ages six to 10, and the initial line features four teen friends -Daniela, Sophie, Katie and Alexis – who each have their own distinct, relatable personalities, interests and challenges.

An online hub (www.livworld.com) is launching in conjunction with the dolls. Liv dolls come with an access code that unlocks the online world, inviting girls to connect with their dolls through daily diaries, a virtual closet, webisodes, games and more. And all Liv product purchases, from accessories, playsets, and fashion packs, unlock additional play features online.

The dolls themselves have 14 points of articulation for more pose options, interchangeable wigs for different hair styles and colors, glass-like eyes and detailed fashions.

Available at retailers, specialty stores, and online at www.livworld.com, the dolls have an SRP of US$19.99, with accessory items ranging from US$5.49 to US$19.99 each.

An international rollout is being planned for later this year.
