Kidscreen editor Lana Castleman has been promoted to editor and content director, a new position that sees her taking the lead on content for Kidscreen’s events, including Kidscreen Summit and iKids, and overseeing the Kidscreen Awards and iKids Awards programs.

Joining Kidscreen almost 10 years ago, Castleman rose steadily up the editorial ranks to be appointed editor in 2009. She’ll now put her content management skills, developed through steering the editorial direction of Kidscreen’s print and digital publications (which she’ll continue to oversee), towards building the 2014 programs for Kidscreen Summit  (February 9 to 12) and iKids (February 14) taking place in New York.

She’s currently in the early stages of planning conference content and overseeing the recruitment of expert judges, drawn from the ranks of industry leaders in children’s entertainment and digital media, for Kidscreen Awards and iKids Awards, which are now both open for entries.

Those interested in speaking opportunities at Kidscreen Summit and iKids 2014 can contact Castleman via email (lcastleman@brunico.com).
