The internet is abuzz with the trailer for Tim Burton’s upcoming film take on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, and Disney Interactive Studios is getting in on the action with a brand-new video game adaptation of the classic tale.

Following the title character several years after the original Carroll stories, Alice in Wonderland, the video game will be available for Wii, DS and Windows-based PCs. Players take on the role of Alice as she travels through the Underland, calling on friends from the Mad Hatter to the Cheshire Cat to use their special abilities to solve puzzles and eventually defeat the Red Queen to restore Wonderland.

Each platform houses different features – the Nintendo DSi version, for example, allows players to use the handheld’s camera to unlock content when tasks are completed. DIS will also release iPhone and iTouch apps

The game is slated for an early 2010 release in conjunction with the film.
