Ratings Watch: Cartoon Network builds live action audience

Cartoon Network's live-action slate is gaining ground.

Cartoon Network’s live-action slate is gaining ground, as its game show Destroy Build Destroy (Wednesday, 8:30 p.m.) posted a 32% gain from the same time period last year with kids nine to 14 (371,000), with ratings (1.5) advancing by 25%. And the numbers were higher with boys nine to 14, with delivery increasing by 52% and ratings by 57%. The slightly younger set, boys six to 11 (354,000) also saw a spike by 32% and ratings (2.8) by 27%. Destroy Build Destroy also built on its lead-in (BrainRush) with delivery of kids nine to 14, seeing an 88% growth with boys nine to 14.

Meanwhile, its Sunday night Flicks movie franchise (7p.m. to 9 p.m.) also saw gains compared to a year ago. With Son of the Mask, delivery for kids two to 11 increased by 31%, along with kids six to 11 (51%) and kids nine to 14 (17%).
