Read on for the latest ratings news from the big-three US kidcasters as Nick’s iCarly makes a 154% gain, Cartoon Network’s live-action block takes off and Disney Channel delivers 18 of the top 20 telecasts for six to 11s.

iCarly reigns again for Nickelodeon, as the tween series came in as basic cable’s top-ranked kids show for the week of July 6, drawing 5.2 million total viewers, up 154% in delivery over last year. The new ep ‘iTwins’, which aired on Saturday July 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, averaging 8.5/1.8 million with tweens nine to 14 (up 193%), 9.5/2.0 million with the six to 11 crowd (up 157%) and 7.3/2.6 million with the two to 11s (up 128%).

Meanwhile, Cartoon Network’s live-action block CN REAL has been seeing its own double-digit delivery gains. The Othersiders (Wednesday, 8 p.m.) saw a 43% spike with kids nine to 14, 42% with boys nine to 14 and 44% with girls in the same age demo. Destroy Build Destroy (Saturday, 8:30 p.m.) also saw some healthy delivery growth, up 58% with kids six to 11, 72% with boys six to 11, 61% with kids nine to 14 and an impressive 107% with boys nine to 14. And BrainRush (Saturday, 8 p.m.) saw 11% and 33% increases with kids six to 11 and boys six to 11, respectively.

On CN’s toon side, Total Drama Action (Thursday, 9 p.m.) is also continuing to scoop up more ratings against the same period last year, with the latest episode seeing 8% delivery gains among kids nine to 14, 9% among boys nine to 14 and 6% among girls nine to 14, with delivery in boys six to 11 growing 4% versus the same time period in 2008.

Finally Disney Channel saw its largest weekly total day audience in kids six to 11, ranking as TV’s top cable network, delivering 18 of the top 20 telecasts in the key demo. For tweens nine to 14, DC aired 16 of the week’s top 20 telecasts and the kidnet placed second among all cable in total viewers.

A replay of the previous week’s Hannah Montana ep on Tuesday brought it in as the week’s number-two TV telecast in key kid demos and a number one in its time period, as well as cable’s most-watched telecast at 7 p.m. As for Playhouse Disney, its series accounted for three of the top 10 – Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny and Imagination Movers.
