The iPhone app space is really heating up for kid-targeted games, and Van Nuys, California-based studio Animax is the latest to get in on the game.

Teaming up with New York’s edutainment DVD producer Little Pim, Animax will be rolling out a foreign-language game for babies, toddlers and preschoolers (ages one to four), the first kids iApp tied to a DVD language learning series.

The agreement will see Animax creating and launching the iApp this August, featuring learning activities in French and Spanish and using vocabulary from the Little Pim DVD series. Future installments will include more languages.
