With Showcomotion finishing up today in Sheffield, UK, kidcaster CBBC has unveiled a three-pack of new series.

Just William, a Simon Nye adaptation, is a comedic series set for a 2010 broadcast on Sunday afternoons and revolves around a mischievous 11-year-old schoolboy’s mishaps in 1950s England. This CBBC production for BBC One has Steven Andrew on-board as executive producer and Martin Jarvis as consultant.

Wildlife series Big Babies (26 x 15 minutes) follows the undertakings of two 10-month-old babies sporting the heads and minds of men in their mid-20s and combines live-action, puppetry and CGI. It’s slated to air next year and was created by comedians Broken Biscuits (John Riche and Spencer Jones), with Sharon Horgan (Pulling, Free Agents) serving as program consultant and executive producers Jack Cheshire (BBC Comedy) and Japhet Asher (CBBC) rounding out the production crew.

Finally, with Inside Life CBBC heads behind the scenes of the BBC Natural History Unit’s new series Life to discover how to obtain wildlife footage. This 10 x half-hour series scheduled to air this fall will see 10 CBBC agents off on a global adventure to get the inside scoop. This CBBC production is executive-produced by Wendy Darke.
