Agoura Hills, California-based vidgame publisher THQ has just announced a reorganization of its business units, upping three execs to lead its triumvirate of kids, family and casual games, core games and online.
At the helm of the kids, family and casual biz unit is EVP Doug Clemmer, reporting directly to president and CEO Brian Farrell. Clemmer’s promotion will see him handling production and marketing across the publisher’s family and casual gaming product portfolio, which also includes console, PC and wireless games with a mass market and family bent.
Clemmer says that THQ will continue developing games for platforms such as the Wii, along with taking advantage of Microsoft’s controller-free tech Project Natal, announced at E3.
Clemmer came to THQ in 2002 and held post as SVP and managed the publisher’s ValuSoft casual games biz and THQ Wireless.
