NVCP inks new Dora deal, MTVNI secures slew of program sales

Dora the Explorer is getting her first-ever branded pocket storybook after NVCP inked a new deal with France publishing house Albin Michel.

The 64-page book, targeting kids six to seven and will launch this month at airports, bookshops, department stores, news kiosks, book clubs and supermarkets throughout several French-speaking markets, including Belgium, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland and Tunisia.

On the program side, MTVNI has sold tween made-for-TV movie American Mall to Portugal’s TVI. iCarly, meanwhile, has been picked up in six LatAm markets, including Chile (Canal 13), Costa Rica (Teletica), Ecuador (Teleamazonas), Mexico (Televisa), Panama (Medcom) and Venezuela (Venevision).

Nick’s comedy animation Back at the Barnyard has also been making waves across LatAm, as a number of new territories take on the series including Artear (Argentina), Globo TV (Brasil), Megavision (Chile), RCN (Columbia), Teletica (Costa Rica), Antena Latina 7 (Dominican Republic), Teleamazonas (Ecuador), Televisa (Mexico), Medcom (Panama) and America TV (Peru).
