Carla Silva has been upped to SVP of global licensing at AG Properties as part of a company-wide re-organization led by new president Sean Gorman to extend entertainment properties onto new content platforms and licensed products.

A six-year veteran of the company, which is home to Strawberry Shortcake and the Care Bears brands, Silva oversees the development and execution of AGP’s global licensing efforts and moving forward will expand her role to focus on strategic growth opportunities to further broaden the consumer reach for both the company’s classic and new brands.

Silva has been instrumental in spearheading AGP’s portfolio abroad, which has resulted in global popularity of Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears. She will now also identify new business opportunities for the company’s portfolio of licensed characters and brands, which also includes Madballs, Packages from Planet X, Boofle, and Holly Hobbie.

Previously, Silva was VP of global licensing at AGP. She joined the company in 2007 as VP of international licensing, and before that she spent 13 years with United Media, working in the international publishing, promotions and licensing development areas.
