Partners around the world are joining forces with Chorion, as it inks a raft of deals across the US and Europe for its World of Eric Carle program.
New State-side licensees include Crayola (branded large format coloring book), Jem (juniors and children’s tees), Zoobies (3-in-1 plush, pillow, blanket concept) and Carson-Dellosa (classroom products), Leapfrog (Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? book for Tag Junior). Applebee’s will also distribute a themed family activity booklet throughout the spring.
Over in Europe, CPLG will rep The World of Eric Carle throughout Benelux, and will be focusing on signing deals at Licensing Show in toys, apparel and homewares. Its first signed deal is with Interstate for a line of stationery.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Consumer Products inked a five-year, multi-property agreement with MeadWestvaco featuring WBCP properties from Harry Potter to Where the Wild Things Are on calendar products at nationwide retailers in Q3 2009.
WBCP has also partnered with foil balloon manufacturer Anagram International featuring WB properties. Available exclusively in the US and Canada, the new line (US$0.99 – $12.99) will hit shelves at major retailers such as Party City and other specialty, grocery and drug stores.
FremantleMedia Enterprises has brought on German producer and distributor Trend Import will rollout 20 licensed Rebecca BonBon products beginning this July, targeting females 14 and up, in various categories such as stationery, home textiles, fashion bags and accessories and gifts.
On the apparel side, manufacturer, distributor and retailer AdventureLand will bring branded clothing to market and will develop the property into a major fashion brand in France, with the first collection hitting the market this fall/winter at selected retailers.
