With Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel set theatrical release on Christmas Day, Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising been busy lining up key partners.

Jakks Pacific (toys), HarperCollins (publishing), JS Karaoke and Bendon Publishing (color/activity books) will be heading up the L&M program for the live-action/CGI film centered around the well-known trio of rodents.

Jakks will bring the Chipmunks and Chipettes to plush, figures, dolls, playsets and novelty toys, tapping into the property’s musical elements. Music also figures prominently in product being developed by JS Karaoke; its line will allow kids to alter their voices so they can sing and talk like their favorite Chipmunk or Chipette .

HarperCollins is publishing movie-inspired storybooks for mass retail, while Bendon is manufacturing a full line of color/activity and educational formats.
