In addition to taking on the MD position at MTVN China, Mei Yan will also be helming the role of chief representative of Viacom Asia in the country.
Mei will be based in Beijing, reporting to Indra Suharjono, EVP and MD of MTV Networks Southeast Asia and Greater China.
Effectively immediately, Mei will oversee MTVN’s business operations in China, MTV and Nickelodeon branded co-productions in the mainland, digital media, and consumer products. She’ll also be responsible for Viacom Asia’s new business development and governmental relations.
With more than 20 years of experience in international broadcasting, Mei has served in a number of roles at News Corp and Star’s China operations and also worked for Turner International Asia Pacific.
