GeoPalz, the maker of ibitz physical activity trackers, is set to reveal its newly designed ibitz Kids app at this week`s Consumer Electronics Show, as well as an exclusive rewards program tied to virtual world platforms such as Disney’s Club Penguin, Minecraft and smart toy Ubooly.

GeoPalz has combined metrics for media consumption to create a rewards-based app that encourages kids to get physically active.

ibitz Kids’ rewards-based app features graphics of twinkling stars, the GeoBotz character and spaceships. Powered by the child’s steps, character GeoBotz explores the galaxy, reaching a new planet when a step goal is met. The more active the child is, the more rewards they can earn. Parents can personalize rewards to the child (i.e. an hour of screen time, a trip, a new soccer ball) or choose from a suite of virtual rewards including Club Penguin points, Minecraft GeoPalz server access and rewards, and exclusive Ubooly content created for GeoPalz.

With Club Penguin, ibitz Kids tracks the child’s daily activity. The more the child moves and plays, the more points he’ll earn to unlock exclusive items online.

As well, Minecraft players can now explore the new GeoPalz server by getting physically active with the ibitz Kids app. With daily activity, kids can earn playtime in GeoPalz’s Minecraft server, coins to spend on materials and items from the Minecraft market and unlockables of 25 different pets.

And lastly, parents can customize their child’s Ubooly, choosing from 20 educational Play Packs. ibitz Kids users can now open up exclusive Ubooly content with the power of their steps.
